With the mid-semester break a thing of the past, the second half of this Autumn semester is now underway and all kinds of French-related activities lie ahead over the coming weeks.
This Wednesday, in collaboration with the Africa in Motion film festival, we’re delighted to welcome Nigerian director Nelson Aduaka to Stirling for a masterclass (open to all – free tickets via the MacRobert website) and an evening screening of his film Ezra (also at the MacRobert).
Then, on Friday and Saturday, it’s time for the Translation Study Days with a programme of events that goes from BSL-signed comet-making to minority language usage.
On 12th November, Alastair Duncan (Senior Honorary Research Fellow at Stirling) will be speaking about the writings of Claude Simon at an event at Edinburgh’s Institut Français and in December, we’ll be hosting a Study Day on the work of Maurice Blanchot, organised by Stirling PhD student Mauro DiLullo.
Much more about all of these events, and more besides, will follow soon!
